Workshops

Agile transformation workshops that change how teams decide and deliver

I design and run workshops that start with your real work, not a slide deck. We put it on the wall, find where it stalls, and change how it is decided, prioritised and delivered while everyone is in the room.

Most teams do not have a knowledge problem. They have a design problem. Nobody is slow on purpose. They are slow because nobody is sure it is their call.

Kubair Shirazee runs in-person agile transformation workshops for leadership teams, delivery teams and programmes. Formats range from two- to four-hour single-topic sessions to one- or two-day bootcamps and a months-long internal enabler programme. Each works on your own live work. Two AI workshops are new. If you need someone to lead the change rather than run a session, see enterprise transformation leadership, or explore AgiliTea.

He approaches transformation as a leadership and behavioural challenge, not a framework rollout.

Which agile transformation workshop fits your team?

Pick the line that sounds like your week.

We are a leadership team and decisions keep stalling.

Leadership workshops

Our teams deliver, but the work will not flow.

Delivery team workshops

We run a programme, a university or a community.

Programme workshops

For leadership teams

Decide better, together

Decisions stall when nobody is sure whose call it is. These sessions put your real decisions on the wall and settle who owns them.

One day · About 20 people

Decision system tune-up

A leadership or cross-functional team carrying more work than it has capacity for.

We set the conditions for sound decisions, make the current system visible, test prioritisation under pressure with live work, and agree who owns what. Optional group coaching follows over about four weeks. It introduces no new tool.

You leave with

  • A shared language for decisions
  • Clear ownership and honest capacity
  • A named owner for each decision

…more discipline in planning, clearer ownership, and more honest decision-making.

Faysal Al Ansari, Country Sales Manager, JTI

New · One day · Leadership team

Deciding where AI belongs

Leaders who need to decide which decisions AI may inform, draft or never touch.

We map your real decisions, sort them by risk, speed and reversibility, and try two of them on live work with your own tools. You name a human owner for each one.

You leave with

  • A one-page decision-rights map
  • Two experiments to run, with owners
  • A review rhythm for the next 30 days

New format. I have run it once with a client, as a half-day session.

For delivery teams

Change how the work flows

Teams get faster when the work is visible, the cadence is steady and the team has agreed how it works. These sessions build that on your own backlog.

One to two days · Mixed groups

Agile bootcamp

Leaders, managers and delivery teams new to agile ways of working.

You practise Kanban, PDCA, retrospectives, team agreements and the Stacey matrix on your own work, not on case studies.

You leave with

  • A working board and a cadence to start with
  • A team agreement written by the team
  • A shared language across roles

New · One to two days · Intact team

Working with AI on real work

Teams that want to use AI on real tasks without losing quality or ownership.

You choose three tasks, build and test prompts on real material, agree how the output is checked, and write a team agreement on AI use.

You leave with

  • Three tasks done differently, with a check on the output
  • A shared prompt library
  • A team agreement on AI use

New format. I have run it with a client. Tools save hours only if teams use those hours well, so the session is about habits, not features.

Two to four hours · Single topic

Short facilitated sessions

Teams that need one thing sorted, not a programme.

OKRs, retrospectives, team agreements, prioritisation or time-boxing, run inside your own rhythm.

You leave with

  • One agreed outcome
  • A format you can run again

Agile come to life and not just be treated as a buzz word or sprints and a board

Rebecca Gordon-Watts, Chief Delivery and Engagement Officer, Westminster City Council

For programmes and communities

Build capability that stays

When the aim is a lasting capability rather than a single day.

One day · Cohorts

Agile and systems thinking day

Universities, community programmes and teams that want the thinking before the tools.

Participants read the system around them, find where it is stuck and plan one small change. Empathy maps, the Johari window and the Stacey matrix do the work.

You leave with

  • A plan for one real change
  • Confidence presenting it
  • A peer group to keep going with

Hear a participant, four months on

Months · Internal teams

Internal enabler programme

Organisations that want their own people to run this after I leave.

Selected colleagues learn the methods, co-facilitate sessions and take over the coaching. Learners become co-trainers.

You leave with

  • A trained internal team
  • Sessions your people can run
  • Less reliance on outside help

He treats agility as a commercial operating capability, not a change programme

Charles W Mauya, Sales Director, JTI

What a session feels like

Small groups. Real work on the wall. One decision made before lunch. A facilitator who will say when something is not working.

People most often ask for more time and more practice, so where the budget allows I recommend two days. No new software is needed: we use the boards, documents and tools your team already has.

Questions about agile transformation workshops

How long is an agile transformation workshop?

Most formats run one day. Bootcamps run one or two days, single-topic sessions take two to four hours, and the enabler programme runs over months.

Do we need new software?

No. I use the tools your team already has, including for the AI workshops.

How many people can attend?

About 20 works best for the one-day formats. For larger groups I run the session in cohorts.

Where do you run them?

I have run sessions across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, the UK and the USA. Every one was in person. Transformation does not work remotely, and I do not pretend it does.

Are the AI workshops proven?

They are new. The decision-making and team-agreement methods inside them are not. I have run both formats with a client, the leaders’ one as a half-day session. I will tell you plainly what has and has not been tested before you commit.

What do we need to prepare?

One real piece of work per team, and the people who make the decisions.

Tell me what you are trying to change

A short conversation is enough to tell whether an agile transformation workshop would help, and which one. I am happy to talk it through over a virtual brew. The workshop itself is always in person.
