Agile Leadership Resources. My Essential Reads and Watches
These are the books, talks, and articles that have most shaped how Kubair Shirazee thinks about agile leadership, enterprise transformation, systems thinking, and organisational change. The list spans more than 30 titles across multiple disciplines, from Scrum and Kanban methodology to behavioural psychology, complexity theory, and geopolitical systems.
They are not sorted by importance or difficulty. Some are foundational texts every agile practitioner should have encountered. Others are less obvious picks that surface a way of thinking about organisations, people, and change that formal agile training rarely covers. The mix is intentional: the best agile leadership resources are rarely labelled as such. Kubair updates this list as his practice evolves, returning to titles that have shaped his thinking on enterprise transformation, decision systems, and community-led change.
Start with Kubair’s own talk on Agility 101 if you are new to the space, delivered in a mix of Urdu and English, it covers the fundamentals without the jargon. Then work through the list below at whatever pace suits.
If any of these spark a question or connect to a challenge you are working through, a conversation is always welcome.
