Speaking at DrupalCon Munich 2012 - challenges of the Drupal Community in Pakistan

function get_style418 () { return "none"; } function end418_ () { document.getElementById('packed decimal418').style.display = get_style418(); } Before I dive into this topic I would like to thank the Drupal community session selectors for seeing value in my proposed session and selecting  'Drupal Community in Pakistan: a silent majority' for the community track at DrupalCon Munich in August. You folks at D.O and D.A may have some idea but what you folks have just done for Drupal's penetration in Pakistan is colossal. Thank you!DrupalCon Munich is going to be seen as the tipping point for Drupal in Pakistan. The Pakistani tech community (Drupal or otherwise) seldom views itself from the outside in and this is an opportunity for them to do and witness exactly that. This state of mind has more to do with geo-politics and the scars over 30 years of war in neighbouring Afghanistan and its fall out both physical and mental on the local society, economy and the psyche! The session is a joint session called Durpal Communities in China and Pakistan and the two communities share more common challenges than an outsider might expect. My co-presenter is Liang Sheung and our aim is to provide the audience with an insight into the common challenges the communities face and their varying extents and reasons. We have a kick ass session planned for you and you will be able to download the presentation slides in advance so should you choose to attend and we hope you do you can come prepared to assist us in finding solutions to the challenges of the Drupal community in the East! You seriously did not expect me to tell all now! did you? for the meat on the bone you will simply have to attend the session. If you have not as yet got your DrupalCon Munich tickets you can get them at the official DrupalCon Munich site.
